State Planning Commission will constitute a ‘Strategy and Policy Assistance Unit’

In presence of the Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel, an MoU was signed between the State Planning Commission and Tata Technologies Pune at the Chief Minister’s residence today. It was signed to develop the state’s technical educational institutions (polytechnics and ITIs) into technological hubs and up-gradation of agricultural research and innovation centers.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel said that there is scope for expansion of a technology-based economy in the future and it is need of the hour that youth should be equipped with the latest technologies so that they can be ready for employment and employment generation with self-employment. He said that this MoU will accelerate the industrial development of Chhattisgarh. He also said that the education, knowledge, and skills of youth should be in parallel with the demand of the industries. He said that along with technical education, training is also an important parameter for generating employment-oriented human resources in the state.
He said that Tata Technologies Limited, Pune is a reputed organization in the field of technology and is extending the benefits of its services and experience to other states also. In this regard, a proposal was received by the state. Considering the usefulness of this proposal, today MoU has been signed between the State Planning Commission and Tata Technologies. This will help in employment generation in the state.
Addressing the program, Deputy Chairman of the State Planning Commission Mr.Ajay Singh informed that Tata Technologies will provide its services to educational and technical institutions through the concerned departments in collaboration with the State Planning Commission for the next three years. A ‘Strategy and Policy Assistance Unit’ under State Planning Commission has been constituted to establish coordination between various departments.
In the presence of the Chief Minister, Mr. PV Kaulgud, Senior Vice President of Tata Technologies, Pune said that under this MoU 23 short-term technical courses would be started in the state. Mr. Kaulgud said, “I’m happy that I will give my services in Chhattisgarh”. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks from Member Secretary of State Planning Commission Mr.Anup Kumar Srivastava.
Adviser to Chief Minister Mr.Pradeep Sharma, Chief Secretary Mr.Amitabh Jain, Vice Chancellor of Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Dr. Girish Chandel, Special Secretary in Commerce and Industry Department Mr.Himshikhar Gupta, Managing Director of Chhattisgarh State Road Development Corporation Mr. Saransh Mittar and heads of departments concerned were present in the program.
