CM directs officials to ensure last-mile delivery of welfare schemes
Gave necessary instructions to the officials to improve local governance
Raipur October 1, 2022

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday chaired a review meeting of the district level officials as a part of his ‘Bhent-Mulaqat Abhiyan’ at Pandariya assembly constituency of Kabirdham district. He gave necessary instructions to the officials to improve local governance and maximize administrative efficiency.
“It is the responsibility of the government and administration to provide basic facilities to every citizen. All officers should give their best and work with utmost dedication to ensure that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last mile”, said the Chief Minister.

Shri Baghel instructed the officials concerned to resolve the public complaints at the earliest. Besides, he directed the officers to work in a planned manner to make available basic facilities like education, health, water, roads, and electricity to all. He also heaped praise on the management of the Health Department of Kabirdham district for their work during the Covid-19 pandemic and the performance of the training center operated at that time.
Forest Minister and Kawardha MLA Shri Mohammad Akbar, Pandariya MLA Smt. Mamta Chandrakar, Divisional Commissioner Shri Mahadev Kavre, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shri Siddharth Komal Pardeshi, and Collector Shri Janmejay Mahobe were present on the occasion.
Stressing the need for wide publicity of government schemes, Shri Baghel asked the officials to ensure that no one is deprived of the benefits of these schemes. He was also instructed to formulate an action plan for the repair of bad roads and the construction of new roads. He asked to take cognizance of the complaints related to illegal liquor saying that the same should not be received at all. Instructions were given to immediately stop the sale of illicit liquor in Kunda and remote areas of Pandariya besides taking stern action against those responsible.
The Chief Minister gave strict instructions to the Superintendent of Police to take stern action on the illegal practices of gambling and betting. He said that complaints of patwaris are being received for allegedly recovering money from farmers for government work. A probe should be ordered on the same and action should be taken to avoid any inconvenience to the public. He said that wherever Devguri is located, it should be ensured whether the development blocks come in the tribal area or not so that an amount of Rs 7000 can be given to the priest located in the area under the Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Bhoomiheen Krishi Mazdoor Nyay Yojana. Similarly, he directed the officials to further improve the infrastructure facilities as per the demand of the locals using the DMF funds. On the complaint of power cut in tribal areas, the chief minister directed the Electrical Engineer to fix the same.
