Durg division wins U18 Boys Gilli-Danda competition
Raipur 08 January 2023/ Durg division won the Under 18 Boys Gilli-Danda competition played at the state-level Chhattisgarhiya Olympics 2022-23 in Madhav Rao Sapre School ground here. The participants of Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Surguja and Bastar divisions showcased their sporting talents in the competition.
The first match was played between Raipur and Bastar division, in which Raipur defeated Bastar division by 11-9. In the second match, Durg defeated Bilaspur by 12-8. Similarly, in the semi-final match, Durg division defeated Surguja division by a huge margin of 8-1 and made it to the finals. Similarly, Raipur entered the finals by winning the second semi-final match. Durg division won the winner’s title by defeating Raipur division by 10-09 in the exciting final match. Competitions under Girls, Men and Women categories will be played on Monday. It is worth mentioning that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel Chhattisgarhiya Olympic Games are being organized to revive the traditional games of Chhattisgarh.
