Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel remembers Swami Atmanand on his birth anniversary at Patan

Development works worth Rs.921 crore for Patan

Raipur, 06 October 2022 

Today, Chief Minister Mr.Bhupesh Baghel attended the Swami Atmanand Jayanti celebration organized at Patan in the Durg district. Addressing the people, he said that the state government is following the thoughts of our great personalities like Swami Atmanand, Dr. Khubchand Baghel to work in the field of education, health, agriculture and livelihood activities in Chhattisgarh. On this occasion, he inaugurated development works worth Rs.921 crore and performed Bhoomi Pujan in Patan Constituency Assembly. He said that Swami Atmanand Ji devoted his whole life to the education field and made quality education available to all sections of society. To fulfil his dreams, the government has started 701 English medium schools in his name. To keep children connected to their roots and traditions, Sanskrit and Chhattisgarhi subjects are also being taught in these schools. He said that along with empowering people economically, we have also worked towards saving the culture.
“Today we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Swami Atmanand Ji. We are determined to follow the path taught by him. I have inaugurated the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics Games in Raipur today. Our Chhattisgarhi games are on the verge of extinction. Now we have included 14 types of our local games in the Chhattisgarhiya Olympics.”, he said. 
He said that everyone has an opportunity to participate in these games. It started on the birth anniversary of Swami Atmanand Ji and will end on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The instalment amount will release on October 17 before Diwali, so that people can celebrate Diwali happily. Paddy procurement will start from November 1. 
He said that farmers should cultivate oilseeds and process them for oil in Gauthan, and for this purpose, rural livelihood centres have been established. These livelihood centres will provide employment opportunities to the educated youth. In health services, many types of tests are being done free of cost in Patan, as well as in Durg. The government is working to fulfil the dreams of our ancestors. 
On this occasion, the Chairman of District Co-operative Bank Mr. Jawahar Verma, Chairman of District Agricultural Marketing Board Mr. Ashwini Sahu, President of Patan Nagar Panchayat Mr. Bhupendra Kashyap, Mr.Mehtarlal Verma and other dignitaries were present. Along with this, Collector Mr.Pushpendra Kumar Meena, SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav and other officers were also present.
