‘Krishi Panchang’ is an important source of information related to agriculture

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel released ‘Krishi Panchang 2023’ published by Indira Gandhi Agricultural University Raipur at his residence office here on Sunday evening. Chief Minister Shri Baghel congratulated and extended his best wishes to the university on its publication and described it as an important source of information related to agriculture and farming.
Addressing the gathering on the occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said “the farmer-friendly policies of the state government are promoting agricultural development in Chhattisgarh. I am happy that this publication has included information about the new technology developed by the University and the welfare schemes being run by the agriculture and related departments of the Government of Chhattisgarh.”
He added that with this, better and more authentic information will be available to the farmers regarding agriculture. This is a meaningful effort by the University to connect farmers with the latest information and research work. He said that the state government has taken several decisions in the interest of the farmers in the state in the last 4 years, which has resulted in the upliftment of farmers making them self-reliant.
‘Krishi Panchang 2023’ contains detailed information regarding the latest farming technologies, and advanced row-sowing techniques of paddy and vegetable production from grafted plants using scientific techniques. Similarly, profitable agriculture with the use of drones, beneficial SCI technique of chickpea production, the new variety of heat tolerant wheat: C.G. 1029 (Kanishka), and advanced techniques of mahua collection have been attractively portrayed in the publication.
