Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur: Women and young entrepreneurs from the district will be able to contribute to the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA).

Various types of small industries are being established in six selected Gauthans of the district as part of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) initiative of the Government of Chhattisgarh. This project is intended to provide employment to women belonging to self-help groups, as well as to provide opportunities for youth.
Dubchhola Gauthan of development block Khadganwa has been selected under RIPA as part of this series aimed at strengthening the rural economy and developing livelihood resources in the village. The activities under RIPA have been started on the occasion of 26th January Republic Day by the Chief Guest, Shri Gulab Kamro, Vice President of Savipra and MLA of Bharatpur-Sonhat.
works such as Fabrication, profile sheet-making units, fly ash bricks, paver blocks, pole-making units, gunny bags, and incense stick manufacturing, among others, have been chosen for Dubchhola Gauthan under RIPA. The building of necessary infrastructure such as a working shed, storage room, office, bathroom, entrance gate, and so on is moving at a fast pace along with the necessary machines being installed. According to the information gathered, 39 entrepreneurs will be able to find work in the suggested activities.

Due to the activities carried out in the third phase of this Gauthan, the women of the group earned an income of up to 76 thousand within a short period of time.

Gauthan is currently engaged in the production of vermicompost, poultry farming, mushroom production, and cultivation of bari. Women from self-help organizations have earned up to 76 thousand rupees from the activities carried out in this Gauthan, which began in the third phase. Women from the Radhe Krishna self-help group earned Rs 20,000 from vermicompost production, Rs 30,000 from poultry farming, and Rs 16,000 from farm improvement activities, whereas women from the Jai Seva self-help group earned Rs 10,000 from mushroom cultivation.

Manufacturers’ products will be recognized through the online platform as well as the local market to the statewide market.

For the sale of manufactured products, an action plan is being prepared to reach the regional market as well as the statewide market with the help of C-Mart and its online platform. Under RIPA, activities are selected in a manner that maintains the availability of raw materials and the marketability of finished products.
