Independence Day will be celebrated in a dignified atmosphere on 15 August in the district. The district level main function will be organized at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium located at the district headquarters. Collector Mr. Rahul Dev and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Girija Shankar Jaiswal jointly inspected the final rehearsal of the main function at the stadium today. He gave necessary guidelines to the officers for the successful organization of the program.During the final practice session at the stadium, Additional Collector Mrs Nishtha Pandey Tiwari played the role of the chief guest and hoisted the flag and saluted. Minute to minute practice of the district level program was done. On this occasion, Additional Superintendent of Police Mr Vivek Shukla and Mr Pankaj Patel, District Panchayat CEO Mr Prabhakar Pandey, Joint Collector Mrs Maneka Pradhan and Mr Ajit Pujari, Deputy Collector Mr Ajay Shatranj, SDM Mungeli Mrs Parvati Patel along with officials of the concerned department and a large number of students were present.MLA Mr Mohle will hoist the flag at the district level functionIn the district level function, Mungeli MLA Shri Punnulal Mohle will reach the stadium as the chief guest at 9 am and hoist the flag. After that, he will read the message sent by the Chief Minister to the public. MLA Shri Mohle will honor the family members of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the security of the country by presenting them shawls and coconuts. School children will present captivating dances on patriotic and cultural songs. Along with this, various programs will be organized.
