In yet another significant step towards welfare and protection of livestock, Chhattisgarh government has decided to launch ‘Mukhyamantri Govansh Mobile Chikitsa Yojana’ that aims to provide top-notch healthcare services to the cattle. Started on the instructions of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, the scheme will be rolled out in each district with one or two mobile veterinary units in the first phase. Besides, the scheme will be further expanded in a phased manner.
Meanwhile, in a bid to ensure that every individual including those residing in remote and inaccessible area has access to affordable and quality healthcare, schemes like ‘Mukhyamantri Slum Swasthya Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Haat-Bazaar Clinic Yojna’ are being operated by the state government. Under this, quality medical facilities are being provided through mobile medical units to people living in urban slum settlements and remote and inaccessible places of the state.
In addition, well-equipped government hospitals have been established from block-level to district headquarters.
Along the same lines, the state government has decided to rope in mobile medical units for providing quality medical facilities to the cattle. At present, livestock healthcare services are being provided at government veterinary hospitals as well as state run Gauthans established under the ‘Suraji Gaon Yojana’. For better animal health, pastures were also developed in Gauthans, so that nutritious fodder could be arranged for the animals. The launch of this new scheme will further expand healthcare facilities for livestock in the state. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has asked the Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain to ensure that necessary action is taken in this regard at the earliest.
