Farming is done on the land provided by Gauthans.
Expenses associated with family are also shared.
Bilaspur 28 November 2022/Through the Suraji Gaon Yojana, the women of Bilha Block’s cellar have now learned to support themselves. They now have a new source of income. including the female members of the Jai Mata Sarai Shringar Women’s Self-Help Group with them, Badi Vikas is currently attaining a new level of success in its development work. They not only improve their economic condition by growing vegetables in their badi but also encouraged other women in their villages. The self-help group members Ramin Kenwat and Rani Bai Dhuri stated they reside in the Gram Panchayat Cellar. They don’t own any land, but since the Suraji Gaon Yojana program began, they have been given land in Gauthan to practice farming. On the land Gauthan had given them, the women began to grow vegetables. They worked diligently and earned a profit of over rs.46,000. They made a total of 96 thousand rupees, of which they spent 50,000 on the cultivation of vegetables, including plows, seeds, fertilizer, water, and electricity. The women in the group said that they were able to send their kids to better schools because of the money they made from selling vegetables and now they contribute to family expenses. As a result of Badi’s success, they are currently working to increase their revenue by cultivating fruit-bearing plants. They have thanked the chief minister, Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, for introducing such a beneficial scheme.
